Use the company’s mobile app to check in upon arrival and check out after completing each property.
-
Accurately record arrival times, departure times, services completed, materials used, and property conditions.

Upload required before-and-after photos, service notes, and documentation.

Monitor changing weather and property conditions during each event.
-
Complete assigned properties thoroughly and within the required time.
-
Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, plow, spreader, lights, and safety equipment.
-
Keep the truck and equipment clean and report maintenance needs promptly.
-
Communicate with supervisors and remain reachable throughout each snow event.
-
Avoid damage to curbs, landscaping, signs, vehicles, buildings, and other property features.
-
Assist crew members with sidewalk shoveling, snow blowing, hand salting, and lifting materials when plowing is completed or additional help is needed.
-
Important Physical Demands
This is a physically demanding position. Operating a snowplow can involve repeated jolting, bouncing, vibration, sudden stops, and long periods of sitting. Drivers may also be required to exit the truck and perform physical snow and ice work.
Applicants must be able to safely perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Repeatedly enter and exit a plow truck.
-
Shovel wet, heavy, or compacted snow.
-
Perform hand salting and carry bags or containers of ice-melting material.
-
Lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, and work on slippery surfaces.
-
Work outdoors in cold, snowy, icy, and windy conditions.
-
Remain alert and work safely during long, overnight, or physically demanding snow events.
-
Applicants should carefully consider these physical demands before applying. This position may not be suitable for someone who cannot safely tolerate the repeated jolting associated with plowing or the lifting, shoveling, and hand-salting requirements of the job.
Potential Year-Round Opportunity
Qualified candidates with landscaping crew leader experience may have an opportunity to continue working with U.S. Lawns Cleveland East after the winter season. Relevant experience includes:
Leading and managing a landscaping crew.
-
Commercial lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and property maintenance.
-
Flowerbed maintenance, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
-
Lawn and landscape enhancement work.
-
Safely operating commercial landscaping equipment.
-
Managing job quality, crew productivity, and daily documentation.
-
Continued employment will depend on experience, job performance, reliability, available positions, and company needs.

Employment Type: Seasonal and on-call, with potential year-round employment
Schedule: Snow and ice events can occur at any time. Drivers must be available during the day, overnight, on weekends, and on major holidays as needed.
