Job Summary

Are you a Caregiver that resides in Escondido, Valley Center, or any of the surrounding areas? Do you have a passion for Caregiving and a desire to give back? Brightstar Care is hiring the best of the best to provide care to our clients! Senior/Adult/child care services throughout the County.

Hiring IMMEDIATELY for AM and NOC 12 hour shifts

Schedule:

Sunday through Wednesday 7a-7p

Thursday through Saturday 7a-7p and 7p-7a

Requirements:

Must have caregiving experience and strong skill set.

High school diploma or GED

Must have ACTIVE HCA (Home Care registry Aid Number)

Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior.
Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Support residents with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and household tasks.
Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance.
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient progress.
Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance residents’ well-being and quality of life.
Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and autism support.
Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and monitor for symptoms requiring immediate attention.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and infection control standards.

Experience

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities is preferred.
Familiarity with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs.
Hands-on experience in dementia or Alzheimer’s care along with memory support strategies.
Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while assisting residents or patients.
Strong background in geriatrics or long-term care settings with a focus on senior citizen well-being.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of client information.
