Full Job Description

Our projects include private residential/commercial land development, heavy civil/vertical construction, public design, and utility engineering.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The primary role of the Survey/SUE Assistant is helping the Survey Crew Chief in completion of all survey work.

· Utilize level rod, prism pole or tape when instructed by Survey Crew Chief and under their direction.

· Lay out stakes.

· Learn how to use the different surveying equipment

· Cut and clear bushes and trees from line of survey with machete

· Carry instruments, field equipment, hammers, stakes, nails, etc.

· Keep survey crew vehicle supplied with equipment; clean and organized

· Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by Survey Crew Chief

General Requirements:

· Ability to work outdoors under all different weather and site conditions with occasional extended hours.

· Willing to work locally or travel within the state of Florida.

· Must pass background check, have a valid Driver’s License and an insurable driving record.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day

· CST Certification within 1 year of hire: Instrument Man – Level 2; Rodman – Level 1.

· Safety Certifications: Temporary Traffic Control (TTC); Fall Protection Awareness; Confined Space Entry.

Work Hours

Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. Overtime and weekend work might be required based on daily needs.

Benefits

· 10 days PTO a year. An extra week of PTO after five years with the company.

· 9 paid Holidays

· Company Group Health Insurance, company contributes 50% of employee’s monthly premium and 25% for any dependents. Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment

· Company contributes 100% of the employees premium for vision and dental insurance. Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment

· Company paid STD, LTD and Life Insurance for employees. Employees are eligible after 60 days of employment

· Gym membership reimbursement capped at $50 a month.

· Simple IRA accounts with 4% matching company contribution. Employees are eligible after 90 days of employment.

· Paid training as well as any certifications that might be needed for the position. Some of these certifications include but are not limited to: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CST, TTC/MOT, Scissor Lift*, Confined Space*, Drone License*. (*Certifications on an as needed basis)

· Company provides safety vests and shirts

· Work boots and work pants program in place, eligible after 90 days of employment

· Company is in expansion mode, so the possibilities for growth within the company are endless.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
