Dog Handler/Enrichment Specialist (Part-Time) Central Bark West Palm Beach

We’re looking for an energetic, reliable team member who is confident working hands-on with dogs and passionate about helping them thrive. This is primarily a dog-handling role with some customer interaction and front desk support.
We offer a reliable starting base rate of $14.00/hr plus participation in a shared tip pool from our amazing local dog parents. Team members have historically averaged approximately $15.00–$16.50+ total hourly earnings including tips, though tip amounts vary and are not guaranteed. Base pay automatically increases to $15.00/hr this September.
What You’ll Do
- Actively supervise and manage dog playgroups to ensure safe, positive interactions
- Read dog body language and intervene appropriately
- Help create structured, enriching experiences for dogs of all temperaments and energy levels
- Feed, medicate, and care for dogs like family
- Maintain a clean, healthy facility
- Build strong relationships with clients and their pets
- Assist with front desk duties as needed through cross-training, including greeting clients, answering phones, and supporting daily operations.
- Bring calm, positive energy that helps both dogs and humans feel comfortable
What You Bring
- 18+ with reliable transportation
- Strong hands-on dog handling experience (professional experience preferred)
- Confidence working with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
- Ability to stay active, alert, and on your feet throughout the shift
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Availability up to 25 hrs/week, including weekends and holidays
Bonus Experience
- Dog daycare, kennel, veterinary, grooming, shelter, or training experience
- Leadership mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure

The Reality
This is active, hands-on work. You’ll be cleaning, lifting up to 50 lbs, managing group play, and working with high-energy dogs in a fast-paced environment.
