Our organization is in an active growth and operational expansion phase requiring disciplined leadership, operational structure, accountability systems, and strong execution across teams and locations.
This is not a traditional clinic management position.
This role is designed for a highly capable operational leader who can bring structure, urgency, accountability, and systems oversight to a fast-moving healthcare environment.
Position Overview
The Regional Clinical Operations Director will work directly with executive leadership to oversee operational execution, workflow consistency, reporting systems, team accountability, patient continuity processes, and multi-site coordination across the organization.
This role requires someone who:

Core ResponsibilitiesMulti-Site Operational Leadership
- Oversee operational execution across multiple healthcare locations, mobile outreach teams, and correctional healthcare programs
- Ensure consistency in workflows, operational standards, documentation, communication, and team execution across all sites
- Monitor operational performance and identify inefficiencies, delays, or workflow breakdowns quickly
- Coordinate operational communication between executive leadership, clinical staff, outreach teams, and administrative personnel
- Assist leadership in scaling systems and improving operational infrastructure as the organization grows
Workflow & Systems Oversight
- Standardize workflows across all sites to improve consistency, efficiency, accountability, and scalability
- Ensure all operational forms, spreadsheets, documentation tools, and reporting systems are completed accurately and on time
- Develop and improve operational tracking systems, workflow visibility, reporting structures, and team accountability measures
- Monitor operational metrics, workflow completion, patient progression, and follow-through across departments
- Identify operational leakage points and implement practical solutions to improve performance
Patient Continuity & Care Coordination Oversight
- Ensure patients are appropriately tracked for follow-up care, lab review, treatment continuation, medication progression, and ongoing services
- Oversee systems that monitor patient movement from initial encounter through continuity of care
- Identify breakdowns in patient follow-up processes and implement corrective operational systems
- Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to improve patient continuity and operational outcomes
- Help maintain organized systems for operational follow-up and workflow visibility
Team Accountability & Operational Execution
- Assist in developing a culture of accountability, urgency, ownership, and operational excellence
- Monitor team performance, operational follow-through, and workflow compliance
- Ensure operational expectations and internal processes are consistently followed across all locations
- Support staff onboarding, operational training, workflow reinforcement, and process implementation
- Help identify operational weaknesses and performance gaps within teams
Problem Solving & Leadership
- Serve as a day-to-day operational leader and problem solver
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable operational improvements
- Manage competing operational priorities while maintaining organizational flow
- Escalate significant operational risks or barriers appropriately
- Focus on execution, systems improvement, workflow optimization, and measurable operational outcomes
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations, multi-site healthcare management, ambulatory operations, regional operations, or healthcare administration experience
- Strong operational leadership and organizational management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and moving parts simultaneously
- Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving ability
- Experience managing workflows, operational processes, team accountability, and reporting systems
- Strong spreadsheet, reporting, operational tracking, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate independently without constant supervision
- Strong communication and leadership presence
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, growth-oriented healthcare environments
Preferred
- Experience with multi-site healthcare organizations
- Experience with outreach healthcare operations, correctional healthcare, HIV/HCV programs, mobile healthcare teams, population health, or care coordination systems
- Experience improving operational workflows and implementing scalable systems
- Experience managing field-based or decentralized healthcare teams

Compensation & Growth Opportunity
