Overview:

UF Health St. Johns is an extension of UF Health Flagler Hospital, which has a 130-year legacy of caring for the community. The 335-bed hospital has been named among America’s 50 Best hospitals out of nearly 4,500 nationwide. UF Health Flagler Hospital has also earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from the Joint Commission for primary stroke care centers, national accreditation for its total hip and total knee replacement programs, accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer and is an Accredited Center in Bariatric Surgery.

The Associate Vice President of Operations St Johns is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational performance, and regulatory compliance of multiple hospital support and clinical service departments, including Laboratory, Rehabilitation Services, Pharmacy, Imaging, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Security. This role also provides executive leadership for project management efforts related to the planning, activation, and opening of new hospital facilities. The AVP ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered services while aligning departmental goals with the hospital's overall mission and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field

Preferred Education

Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Experience

More than five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations or healthcare management

Necessary Skills

Strategic thinking and organizational leadership
Financial management and budgeting
Project and program management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to lead complex operational initiatives and drive organizational outcomes
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across the organization
