RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, transferring, and feeding for elderly clients in their residential home.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
- Support mobility and transportation, such as accompanying clients to doctor’s appointments or walks.
- Plan and prepare meals, incorporating local flavors when possible, and assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Accompany clients on shopping or grocery trips.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies to ensure client safety.
CAREGIVER REQUIREMENTS:
- HHA Training Complete - Home Health Aide for Florida: We value your skills and experience.
- 4+ Years of Caregiving Experience: Experience preferred to deliver exceptional care.
- Background Check and Drug Screen: Must pass both to ensure client safety.
- Experience with Transfers/Gait Belts: Essential for assisting clients with mobility.
- Experience with Bed-Bound Clients Preferred: Knowledge of specialized care is a plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
- No Smoking Policy: Strict policy due to the delicate nature of our clients’ health.
- Driver’s License Required: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance to navigate St. Augustine’s historic streets.
- Complete required training during onboarding.
