Full Job Description

Smooth MD is a medical spa provider seeking a Medical Assistant or Nurse in training for our Palm Desert location. We are seeking ONLY the most highly energetic, talented and ambitious team member for a part-time position. They should possess a commitment to excellent patient care, be a team player, detail oriented, and a passion for aesthetic medicine.

A positive attitude, high energy, & the ability to provide education in product/services are all vital qualities amongst others described. Willingness to learn, charismatic personality and posses the skills and enthusiasm to consult patients and provide excellent bedside manner.

Description of Duties

Provide non-invasive treatments in accordance with practice protocols including: Blood Draws, CoolSculpting, Medical Weight Loss, HydraFacials, IM Injections, etc.
Conduct consultations with patients to determine best treatments for their desired outcome and create a treatment plan.
Effectively inform and educate clients about specific wellness concerns.
Provide follow-ups from treatments, consultations and phone calls.
Set-up and assist Physician in treatments such as Botox, Resurfacing lasers, Venous treatments, FUE procedures., etc.
Answer phones (must posses great phone etiquette), schedule appointments, check clients in, room patients and assist with front desk duties.
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the practice's policies and procedures.
Perform prep work, properly clean and restock rooms as required.
Actively promote the treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
Cross promote all the services that the practice has to offer (skin care, body sculpting, lasers, weight-loss, etc.)
Handle client questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by clients.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
Assist in all areas of practice operation as requested by management.
Accurately record client treatments in EMR & EHR
Familiarity with Processing Payments & Microsoft programs
Mobile & Windows Knowledgeable
Punctuality is required
Must have reliable means of transportation

Bonuses are also provided and contingent on performance, closings and treatments performed. An ideal candidate will meet quotas and strive to build and grow with the Company.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Applicants are REQUIRED to have a valid MA certification or are attending Medical Assisting/Nursing school. Applicants will NOT be considered without having a valid certification. Please confirm you have a valid certification.
This position requires the candidate to fulfill administrative and front office duties, managing a high volume of daily leads (50–100) through phone, email, and text communication. Please confirm that you are comfortable with consistent data entry and a position that involves a large focus on administrative tasks along with daily patient outreach.
This is a part-time position requiring 8–24 hours per week (1–3 days). Sunday and Monday availability is mandatory, while the other days are flexible and will be determined based on mutual availability. Please confirm that this schedule works for you.
This position will require to administer IM injections and perform blood draws on your first day. Please confirm you are able to perform these duties without additional training. Please do NOT apply if you require further training, you will also be sent home on Day 1 if you cannot perform these duties.
