Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Powder Coater and play a vital role in the finishing process of high-quality metal components. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for applying durable powder coatings to various parts, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and aesthetic requirements. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation techniques suitable for construction painting and fabrication.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply even coats of powder material onto designated surfaces.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to assemble parts or perform minor repairs prior to coating.
- Interpret production documents and specifications to ensure coatings meet exact color, texture, and finish requirements through visual color comparison and quality checks.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and crane operations while adhering strictly to safety protocols and PPE guidelines such as respirators and protective clothing.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after coating application to verify adherence to industry standards in industrial painting and finishing processes.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following lean manufacturing principles, proper materials handling, and waste disposal procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience with powder coating processes, conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, or industrial painting techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, welding, auto body repair, or construction painting surface preparation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools necessary for surface preparation and finishing.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators and respiratory protection devices.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses or material quantities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and materials handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.

Pay: $25.11 - $32.00 per hour
