Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support a broad range of legal practices, including estate planning, environmental law, litigation, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, exceptional research abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality legal administrative support. As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in managing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting attorneys with case preparation to ensure efficient and effective legal services.

Duties

Assist attorneys with legal case management by organizing and maintaining case files using document management systems such as iManage and Clio.
Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support ongoing cases across various practice areas including workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and immigration law.
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Manage document review processes efficiently to identify relevant information for litigation or transactional matters.
Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings or interviews related to estate planning or tribal law regulations.
Perform data entry tasks accurately within case management software like PCLaw and ensure all records are up-to-date.
Provide executive administrative support including phone etiquette, filing, transcription, proofreading, and organizing legal files to streamline office operations.
Assist with client interviews and maintain confidentiality while gathering pertinent information for cases involving family law or securities law.
Support attorneys during court filings and document submissions ensuring compliance with procedural rules across different jurisdictions.

Experience

Proven paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment with exposure to multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, litigation, or tribal law.
Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) laws is a plus.
Experience managing legal case files using document management systems like iManage or Clio; proficiency in PCLaw is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex document review projects with attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting involving multiple cases or projects.
Skilled in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription services, and preparing detailed reports for attorneys’ review.
Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette; capable of interviewing clients or witnesses effectively across diverse legal areas including immigration law or patent law.
