Full Job Description

Overview
This is high paid position with freedom to choose hours. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the Bx-Nalysis team in a group home setting (telehealth/in person) in Pasadena, CA with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. 1 year experience with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities is REQUIRED. BCBA must provide services in person at least once a week. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our clients by promoting positive behavioral changes and skill development. CPI certified and/or bilingual (Spanish speaking) candidates is a plus, but not required. Education and Certification

Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Certification: Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Primary Duties

Group home setting (combined with telework hours) comprehensive behavioral analysis and supervision to ensure quality care and effective intervention strategies. These services include:

Observations: Conducting detailed observations of clients’ behaviors to assess current functioning, identify triggers, and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans.
RBT Training and Supervision: Providing thorough training and ongoing supervision for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to equip them with essential skills for implementing interventions accurately and effectively. This includes regular observation, performance feedback, and guidance on best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Treatment Integrity/Fidelity Checks: Regularly conducting fidelity checks to ensure that behavior intervention plans are implemented consistently and as designed, promoting high treatment integrity.
Interobserver Agreement (IOA): Engaging in periodic assessments with multiple observers to confirm consistency and reliability in data collection, enhancing the accuracy and validity of the recorded information.
Availability and Customer Service: Must be available to answer calls from clients or group home administrators/staff about client issues, etc., and return calls within 24 hours if unable to answer a call.

General Duties:

Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop tailored behavior intervention plans.
Assist in writing and reviewing monthly behavioral reports for clients, documenting progress, challenges, and recommendations to support individualized treatment plans in a group home setting.
Implement evidence-based behavioral strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviors.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and family members, to ensure holistic support for clients.
Collect, graph, and analyze data to monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Provide training and support to staff on behavior management techniques.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Stay updated on best practices in the field of behavioral health.

Technical Skills Required:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Competency: Advanced knowledge of ABA principles, including reinforcement, shaping, chaining, and task analysis.
Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA): Proficiency in conducting assessments to identify the functions of challenging behaviors.
Individual Behavior Support Plan (IBSP): Skill in developing, implementing, and evaluating individual behavior support plan.
Data Collection & Analysis: Strong skills in data-driven decision-making, including designing and interpreting data collection tools and analyzing trends.
Token Economies & Reinforcement Systems: Experience with implementing and monitoring token economy systems and reinforcement strategies.
Behavior Skills Training (BST): Ability to use BST to teach clients and staff specific skills, often involving modeling, role-playing, and performance feedback.
Crisis Intervention: Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies, such as de-escalation techniques and emergency response plans.
Medication Management Awareness: Knowledge of common medications, their effects, and how they impact behavior.
Documentation & Compliance: Ability to document progress, ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HCBS final rule), and maintain accurate records.
Ethics and Professional Guidelines: Adherence to the BACB Code of Ethics and understanding of policies around HIPAA and confidentiality.
