Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mortgage servicing and loan origination processes. As a Mortgage Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that loan applications are processed efficiently and accurately, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
Gather necessary documentation from borrowers, including income verification, credit reports, and asset statements.
Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to facilitate the processing of loans.
Ensure compliance with FNMA guidelines and other relevant regulations throughout the mortgage process.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications related to each loan application.
Perform basic math calculations to verify financial information provided by borrowers.
Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry and documentation management.
Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing phase.

Qualifications

Previous experience in mortgage servicing or as a loan officer is preferred.
Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and underwriting processes is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
Proficient in basic math skills for financial calculations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Experience in financial services or banking is a plus.
Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with mortgage processing software.
