Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses to provide accurate and timely results for patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise in medical laboratory procedures and equipment will play a crucial role in supporting patient care.

Duties:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper handling and storage
- Analyze test results, interpret findings, and report accurate data to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay updated on new techniques, technologies, and regulations in the field of medical technology

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and analyzing results
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and result reporting
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Skills:
- Knowledge of catering practices in the dietary department
- Experience in menu planning and culinary skills
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Understanding of food handling protocols in the food industry or restaurant setting
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service is an asset
