Full Job Description

The Caregiver & Engagement Specialist performs a variety of duties related to the successful development and implementation of caregiver and senior support programs throughout the West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging’s six-county service area. Working under the agency’s Social Isolation and Caregiver Education & Training initiatives, the Caregiver & Engagement Specialist will ensure that programs are effective, sustainable, and provide positive outcomes for seniors and caregivers in the communities we serve.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

· Community outreach to develop referral networks, recruit participants, & publicize program

· Direct service provision to consumers

· Client tracking, data collection, monthly reporting

Required Competencies:

· Microsoft Office suite

· Virtual communication platforms

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking

· Data collection, reporting, and analysis

· Strong work ethic and time management skills

Education and Credentials

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· Proven ability to work compassionately and effectively with consumers

Preferred Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social sciences or related field preferred

· Three years of experience in social services, gerontology, or related field

· Experience and/or familiarity with caregiving, senior services, and related fields

Full-time hourly position with full-time benefits including company paid heath, vision, dental, & life insurance, and matching 401k. Wage commensurate with experience.
