About Us
Coit Cleaning and Restoration is a premier provider of residential and commercial cleaning and
restoration services. Our Bay Area division specializes in high-quality commercial HVAC air duct and
mechanical hygiene services, delivering safe, compliant, and professional results for our customers.
Position Summary
The Senior Commercial Air Duct Technician is a lead field technician responsible for performing
advanced commercial HVAC air duct cleaning and remediation services within the Bay Area division
only.
Essential Functions
Commercial HVAC & Air Duct Services:
Perform commercial air duct cleaning and HVAC mechanical hygiene services
Clean supply, return, and exhaust duct systems
Clean AHUs, blowers, coils, plenums, grilles, registers, and diffusers
Operate negative air machines, HEPA vacuums, air whips, and rotary brushes
Create and properly seal duct access openings
Conduct pre- and post-cleaning inspections
Verify HVAC system operation after service completion
Lead Technician Responsibilities:
Serve as on-site lead for commercial air duct projects
Provide hands-on guidance to assigned technicians
Ensure work is completed safely and to scope
Communicate field issues to operations leadership
Assist with job setup, equipment staging, and breakdown
Assists sales team with job walk and estimating
NADCA Certification & Standards
This role is expected to perform all HVAC air system cleaning services in accordance with National Air
Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards.
NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification is required or must be obtained within an
approved timeframe
Technician must understand and apply ACR – The NADCA Standard
Maintain compliance with NADCA documentation, verification, and safety practices
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of commercial air duct or HVAC system cleaning experience
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
Blueprint reading experience is preferable
Ability to lead crews in a hands-on field environment
Ability to work in confined spaces (attics/crawlspaces) while wearing appropriate PPE
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (certification for lifts and harness is a plus)
Willingness to work flexible hours (after hours and weekends)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift and operate equipment up to approximately 75 lbs.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,
etc.)
Ability to recognize and rectify problems
Proficiency in Blueprint reading preferred
Expert knowledge of HVAC cleaning practices and equipment
Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier

This position is somewhat physical. There may be extensive walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
Periods of time spent sitting at desk, using computer, monitor and mouse. Requires ability to lift and
carry boxes of collateral materials (approximately 40 pounds). Traveling requires the safe operation of a
personal vehicle.
