Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Experienced Caregiver to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional in-home and community-based care, assisting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and companionship. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help improve the lives of those you serve, ensuring they receive respectful, comprehensive support tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any health changes or concerns
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary requirements
Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices safely
Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and medication administration
Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs through specialized techniques and patience

Requirements

Proven experience in caregiving within assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings
Experience working with clients in geriatric psych desired
Behavioral de-escalation (Techniques to calm agitation, redirect attention, and reduce frustration)
Mental stimulation and engagement (Gentle activities that promote purpose and social interaction)
Ability to recognize symptoms of depression, anxiety, delirium, dementia, and etc.
Empathy and therapeutic communication
Experience working with clients with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Preferred
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships
Must have locked unit experience
