Cardiovascular Technologist – Cath Lab
Location: Panama City, FL
Pay: $29.56 – $44.34/hr (heavily based on years of experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case
Schedule: Days • Rotating Weekends

Job Description

Overview

Join a 230+ bed acute care hospital serving the Panama City area with advanced cardiovascular, interventional, and stroke services. The Cath/IR team supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment backed by the area’s only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI & Resuscitation, Level III NICU, and dedicated adult/pediatric emergency services.

Responsibilities

Prepare procedure rooms; verify equipment readiness and radiation safety standards.
Scrub/monitor/circulate for diagnostic & interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
Perform hemodynamic monitoring, image acquisition, and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care per protocol.
Maintain sterile technique; manage supplies/inventory and room turnover efficiently.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and anesthesia to ensure patient-centered, efficient care.
Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives for the lab.

Qualifications

Required

1+ year recent experience in Specials, Vascular, or Cardiac Cath Lab.
Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license.
Associate degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT (R) or RCIS credential.
BLS at hire; ACLS within 60 days of start.

Preferred

Additional Cath/EP cross-training; strong hemodynamics and interventional device familiarity.
Experience with complex coronary/peripheral interventions and contrast reactions.
