The position may be assigned as Safety Coordinator I or Safety Coordinator II based on demonstrated experience, training, qualifications, and ability to work independently.

· Assist with operator evaluations and equipment qualification programs when trained and authorized by DSI.
· Inspect or assist with inspection of fall-protection equipment, rigging, cranes/hoisting equipment, ladders, tools, fire extinguishers, first-aid supplies, and other safety-critical equipment.

· Developing-level safety professional who works with regular direction from a Safety Manager or the Director of Health and Safety.
· Expected to recognize common hazards, document conditions accurately, communicate concerns, and follow established DSI procedures.
· May lead routine inspections, orientations, toolbox talks, or assigned training after demonstrating competency.
· Escalates significant hazards, policy violations, injuries, customer concerns, and unfamiliar conditions to Safety leadership.
Safety Coordinator II
· Experienced coordinator capable of independently supporting routine shop operations or an assigned field project with periodic Safety Manager/Director oversight.
· Expected to lead audits, routine training, documentation, corrective-action follow-up, and first-level incident fact gathering.
· Can represent DSI in routine GC safety meetings and communicate directly with Foremen and Superintendents regarding corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications
· Education, internship experience, military experience, skilled-trade experience, or work experience related to Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Safety, EHS, construction, fabrication, or a related field.
