Position Summary
As a Welder and/or Fitter-Fabricator, you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality structural steel components for commercial and industrial projects. You'll work from detailed blueprints to fabricate, fit, and weld steel assemblies while maintaining the highest standards for craftsmanship and safety.

What You'll Do:
Welding Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings and gather sheets.
- Plan work procedures and gather the tools and materials needed for each project.
- Weld, cut, and repair steel components using approved welding methods.
- Produce quality welds that meet company and industry standards.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Report damaged equipment or defective materials to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Fitter/Fabricator Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and gather sheets.
- Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components with precision.
- Perform GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/MIG) and various cutting using air carbon arc, plasma, and oxy torches.
- Fabricate parts using shop tools and equipment.
- Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely.
- Use precision measuring tools, such as tape measures, squares, bevel squares, and levels.
- Identify fit-up issues and collaborate with team members and quality to maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation skills.
- Experience with GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)/MIG
- Ability to weld in flat or horizontal positions.
- Knowledge of welding equipment, fabrication tools, and shop practices.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Basic math skills related to fabrication and welding.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely operate cranes and lifting equipment.

Schedule
Monday – Friday
10-hour shifts
1st Shift:
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift:
4:30 PM – 2:30 AM
+$2.00/hour shift differential
