Vaco has partnered with an exciting company to hire a Senior Property Accountant in North Scottsdale, Arizona!
This role offers the opportunity to own key accounting and reporting responsibilities within a well-established commercial real estate firm, while working closely with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives. You’ll play a visible role on a collaborative team and gain exposure to broader finance and operational functions.

Senior Property Accountant
$90,000–$100,000 base salary (depending on experience)
North Scottsdale, AZ (on-site, Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities include:

Manage end-to-end accounting for a commercial real estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy across all financial activities
Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules
Perform and review key account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet activity
Oversee billing, collections, and payables processes while providing guidance and ensuring proper coding and accuracy
Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial and operational reporting efforts
Partner with internal teams on lease-related financial matters, tenant activity, and overall portfolio performance
Assist with audit, tax support, and continuous process improvements across systems and reporting

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
3–5+ years of accounting or finance experience (Required)
Commercial real estate or property accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting software preferred
Strong communication skills and professional presence
