Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Spanish speaking, Part-Time Pediatrician to provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services to infants, children, and adolescents in a community health setting in California. The Pediatrician will support our mission of delivering accessible, culturally competent healthcare and improving health outcomes for all populations. This position requires onsite clinical care and availability to support extended clinic hours and patient access in our long beach location.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child exams, immunizations, acute and chronic care management, and developmental screenings.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, nutrition, development, safety, and disease prevention.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, behavioral health, social services, specialists) to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in quality improvement activities, case reviews, and organizational committees as needed.
Support after-hours care processes when applicable to ensure continuity of care.
Adhere to clinic standards, state regulations, and compliance requirements.
Providing appropriate practitioner oversight and supervision at the clinic.
Performing medical record review: auditing and co-signing medical records of at least 5% of patients seen by the mid-levels within (30) days of the patient’s visit.
Remain available for clinical questions from Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants during all clinical hours.
Provide constructive feedback to providers to support their professional development and adherence to best practices.
Remaining knowledgeable of organization protocols, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Spanish speaking
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completed training internship and residency as required by California Licensure
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Valid California Medical License (or eligible to obtain prior to start)
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Experience providing pediatric care in outpatient or community health settings preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
BLS Certification
PALS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with multicultural populations
Experience providing pediatric care in outpatient or community health settings preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with FQHC operations and patient care models
eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience
