Job description:

Hudson Allergy is a fast-growing, Allergy & Immunology practice in NYC. We provide patients with world-class, expert medical care in a comfortable and inviting environment in Manhattan. We treat a variety of allergy and immunology diseases. We have three convenient locations: Tribeca, Flatiron, and Grand Central.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented LPN or Pharmacist to join our clinical team to prepare and maintain allergen immunotherapy serum for patient treatment and associated procedures. This is an outstanding opportunity for a healthcare professional who thrives in a structured clinical environment, values precision and patient safety, and wants to build expertise in a specialized field of medicine.

We provide a full range of state-of-the-art allergy and asthma services including allergen skin testing, contact allergen patch testing, allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots), desensitization, medication allergy testing, food allergy testing, and food challenges.

Vision: To create a community educated on the causes and effects of allergies, where knowledgeable individuals can mitigate allergy discomfort and risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Serves as the primary clinical support for patients ongoing and starting allergen immunotherapy.-Prepare and mix allergen immunotherapy serum extracts prior to scheduled patient appointments
Maintain accurate patient documentation and update relevant medical information within the EMR system
Maintain accurate documentation of mixing logs and labeling of serum vials
Maintain allergen extract trays
Ensure compliance with all AAAAI policies, procedures, and clinical standardsMonitor serum inventory, extract maintenance, and related supply levels
Coordinate and manage outside vial requestsProvide necessary and appropriate information to billing staff for accurate patient billing and insurance processing
Communicate concerns with regarding vial maintenance, equipment, or clinic supplies
Ensure patients remain compliant with annual physician follow-up appointments and EpiPen requirements
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support efficient patient care

Qualifications

Active NY State license as an LPN or Pharmacist
Prior experience in allergy/immunology, sterile compounding, infusion, or specialty medication preparation preferred
Experience with EMR documentation preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills-Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment-Excellent communication and teamwork skills-Knowledge of immunotherapy protocols and extract handling is a plus
