Full Job Description

SEEN is looking for an Artist & Label Relations Director to lead our relationships across the music industry and help build SEEN’s growing music division.

SEEN is an out-of-home creative agency built around culture. We work directly with record labels, artists, managers, and their teams to develop and execute memorable, culturally relevant campaigns in the real world, bringing music, artists, and stories to life on the streets of New York and other major markets.

This is a highly relationship-driven and sales-forward role for someone deeply connected to the music industry. The right person will have an established network across labels, artist management, agencies, and the broader music community, and understand how to turn those relationships into creative opportunities and meaningful business for SEEN.

Rather than simply selling media, this person will work alongside our clients to identify the moments that matter, develop the ideas around them, and build campaigns that make an impact in the physical world. They will be responsible for opening doors, developing relationships, bringing opportunities into SEEN, and ultimately driving revenue across the music vertical.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both music and culture , and knows how to build a business around both.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary ambassador for SEEN across the U.S. music ecosystem, building and maintaining relationships with artists, managers, record labels, publishers, distributors, and artist teams
Develop and own a pipeline of music-related business opportunities, with a strong focus on new revenue generation
Proactively identify upcoming album releases, singles, tours, festivals, anniversaries, cultural moments, and other opportunities where SEEN can create meaningful impact
Build direct relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across the music industry and turn those relationships into new business opportunities
Work directly with labels, artist management teams, and agencies to understand their objectives and develop creative, culturally relevant out-of-home campaigns
Collaborate with SEEN’s internal teams to develop campaign concepts, presentations, proposals, and strategies that bring artists and music into the physical world
Introduce clients to SEEN’s capabilities across billboards, wild posting, murals, experiential, street-level media, and integrated out-of-home campaigns
Develop customized campaign strategies around major artist and label moments, from album launches and tours to cultural activations and artist announcements
Work closely with clients from initial idea through execution, ensuring campaigns are creatively strong, commercially successful, and delivered at the highest level
Identify opportunities to create larger, multi-market and recurring partnerships with labels, management companies, agencies, and artists
Stay deeply connected to emerging artists, genres, scenes, communities, and cultural movements
Attend concerts, showcases, industry events, label meetings, listening sessions, and other relevant gatherings to continually expand SEEN’s network and presence within music
Represent SEEN within the music community and help establish the company as a go-to Outdoor Media partner for artists and labels
Collaborate closely with SEEN’s creative, sales, production, operations, and leadership teams to bring campaigns from initial conversation through execution
Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and consistently work toward individual and company revenue goals
Bring market intelligence and cultural insights back to SEEN to help shape the growth and direction of our music division

The Ideal Candidate

Deeply connected within the music industry, with an established network across artists, managers, record labels, agencies, publishers, or artist teams
5+ years of experience working in music, artist relations, label marketing, music management, entertainment, advertising, media, or a related field
A genuine passion for music and a strong understanding of the modern music business
A proven ability to build relationships and turn relationships into business
Naturally entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
Comfortable initiating conversations, opening doors, pitching ideas, negotiating, and closing business
Strong understanding of artist and label marketing cycles, album releases, touring, promotional strategies, and the cultural moments that surround them
Creative enough to understand what makes a campaign culturally relevant and commercially valuable
Commercially minded and motivated by building revenue and growing a business
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
Comfortable working across both the creative and commercial sides of a campaign
NYC-based and actively connected to the city’s music, entertainment, and cultural communities

Success in this role means becoming one of the most connected and commercially valuable people at SEEN within the music community, someone artists, managers, and labels know and trust, and someone our creative and sales teams rely on to open doors and create new opportunities.

The goal isn't simply to maintain relationships. It is to build the music vertical at SEEN, generate meaningful revenue, develop long-term relationships with the industry’s most important players, and establish SEEN as a go-to creative partner for bringing music and culture into the real world.

Ultimately, this person will help define how SEEN and the music industry come together on the streets of New York and beyond.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
