You will collaborate with licensed professionals to implement evidence-based interventions, assist with daily activities, and contribute to meaningful client progress. - This role is an ideal match for students looking for flexible industry-relevant employment alongside studies, part-time position, or specific field hours. Target disciplines include: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA therapy intern / BCBA), Speech-Language Pathology (speech therapy intern / SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Nursing, Public Health, Master of Social Work (MSW), Pedagogical Studies, Psychology, and pre-med internship tracks.
Core Responsibilities
- Sign-and-Song Instruction: Execute a high-energy sign-and-song early communication curriculum to teach visual modeling to infants, toddlers, and neurodevelopmental youth.
- Clinical & Behavioral Care: Conduct supervised sessions, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), collect behavioral health tracking data, and implement pediatric behavioral care plans under professional supervision.
- Compliant Documentation: Maintain strict, accurate session logs and clinical progress reports in full compliance with HIPAA regulations and academic fieldwork standards.
Mandatory Qualifications
- ASL Training Provided: Prior sign language experience is not required; a robust, structured training program in elementary sign-and-song curricula is fully provided.
- Extroversion Required: Candidates must possess a high-energy, confident, and highly extroverted engagement style to command group dynamics.
- Musical or Creative Affinity: Ability to comfortably keep pace with live musical instruments (percussion, strings) and lead physical choreography.
- Behavior Management: Basic competence with behavior management strategies, childhood development principles, or inclusive special education environments.
Skills
- Strong understanding of special education principles and experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavioral health and ABA therapy protocols.
- Experience assisting with ADLs, behavior management, and implementing behavior intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in home-based or school settings with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders or other disabilities.
- Passion for supporting behavioral health initiatives through direct therapy, data-driven decision making, and client-centered care.
