Senior Project Manager — Texas Centrix Energy Partners | Texas (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout, with a focus on K-12 and public-sector work. In this role, you will serve as the primary client relationship owner while driving scope, schedule, and budget performance across multiple concurrent projects. You will work closely with design teams, site superintendents, subcontractors, and public agency stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Own client relationships from contract execution through project closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for school district officials and public agency representatives
Lead the full project lifecycle — preconstruction planning, procurement, construction execution, and final turnover — across multiple concurrent projects
Partner with Site Superintendents and Lead Installation Foremen to ensure field activities align with project goals, schedules, and safety standards
Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, owner billing, and collections; identify and address financial risks proactively
Maintain complete project documentation including meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
Coordinate design and construction teams including architects, engineers, and subcontractors to keep projects on track
Monitor project milestones and critical path schedules; develop and implement recovery plans when needed
Mentor and develop junior project management staff
Lead quality assurance and risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle
Represent Centrix in client presentations, interviews, and business development pursuits as needed

Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years in construction project management; K-12 or public-sector experience strongly preferred
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
Certifications: PMP and OSHA 30 preferred
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management platforms preferred
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with public agency clients, design professionals, and field teams
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% for site visits and client meetings across Texas
Compliance: Must successfully complete background checks required for work on school construction projects
