Job Title: Human Resources Associate
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
FLSA: Full-Time/Exempt
Salary: $60,000-$70,000
Travel: As needed to support growing nationwide company
Position Summary: The Human Resources Associate provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department across multiple entities. The role supports recruiting activities, onboarding, HRIS administration, employee records, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and providing general HR support while ensuring a positive employee experience and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding
· Coordinate job postings across recruiting platforms.
· Reviewing resumes and applications
· Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
· Conduct pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screenings, employment verifications, and reference checks.
· Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
· Coordinate new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
· Ensure completion of all required new hire paperwork and I-9 documentation.
· Maintain applicant tracking records and recruiting metrics.
HR Administration
· Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS records.
· Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
· Prepare employment verification requests.
· Maintain organizational charts and employee directories.
· Assist with HR reporting and audits.
· Set up new hire and recurrent training.
Payroll Support
· Assist with payroll data collection and processing.
· Ensure employee information is accurate before payroll processing.
· Coordinate timekeeping corrections, as needed.
· Maintain payroll related documentation.
Benefits Administration
· Assist employees with benefit enrollment and general benefits questions.
· Coordinate new hire benefit eligibility and life event changes.
· Support annual open enrollment activities.
Compliance
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Maintain required labor law postings.
· Assist with HR audits and regulatory reporting.
· Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with company policies.
Employee Support
· Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
· Coordinate monthly employee recognition communications.
· Assist with leave administration and documentation.
· Support performance review administration.
· Provide administrative support for employee relations matters.
Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience
· 1-2 years of Human Resources or administrative experience.
· Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding is preferred.
· Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office required.
· ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
