What you will do as a Driller Assistant:
- The Driller Assistant position is an entry level position. New employees will be enrolled in an on the job program designed to provide basic training to perform job functions under the supervision of senior drillers. These functions will include: geotechnical and environmental soil and rock core sample collection, drilling equipment maintenance and repair, and drilling and support equipment operation.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects, participate in pre-task planning, exercise “Stop Work Authority” when necessary, and report any safety issues or concerns.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Acts as an assistant to the lead operator to help perform routine drilling tasks.
- Drive a medium duty truck and trailer to various job sites.

Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Limited or no experience required.
· Willingness to travel.
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
· Ability up to lift 50lbs.
· Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days of employment.
Desired Skills:
· Experience in welding, repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, working in the construction trades, operating heavy equipment, and working outdoors
· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
