Position Summary& Highlights
- This position will work in the Urgent Care clinic with rotating providers.
- This position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a fast-paced environment.
- Located at the intersection of Karcher Road and Middleton Road, Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides convenient care close to home for west Nampa residents and the surrounding communities. In addition to urgent care, this clinic also provides family medicine and pediatric services.
- Open daily with limited wait times, urgent care provides convenient and cost-effective treatment for conditions that are non-life-threatening.
What You Will Do:
- In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
- You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
- An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and dependable.
- You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills.
Work Schedule:
- 1 - 12hr shift per week
- Around the hours of 7:45am - 8:15pm
Orientation and Training:
- Will be at least 2-3 full days each week in the first two weeks, plus self-paced e-learning.
- Includes EPIC Training, Clinical Regulatory training, POC test training, and immunization training.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent requiredat hire.
- MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
- National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
- New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a100-hour MA externship or6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hourseven with MA certification.
- Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience ORCurrent MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is requiredat hire.
- *Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
