Full Job Description

Phones, email, and a desk you own. Sarasota.

Black Oak LED builds LED lighting and night-vision systems for boats, trucks, and work vehicles. We are family-owned, veteran-operated, based in Sarasota, and we sell direct to the people who actually use our gear.

We need one more person at the front of the house - on the phone, in the inbox, and keeping the office running.

WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO

- Answer customer calls and make outbound follow-up calls. This is a phone-forward job and it is most of your day.

- Work the customer inbox. Clear, professional email, written fast.

- Order support end to end: status updates, shipping issues, returns and RMAs.

- Administrative desk work - records, documentation, order paperwork, keeping files and systems organized and current.

- Work with the team to move projects across the line. You will be the person who tracks what is outstanding and follows up until it is done.

- Learn our product line so you can answer real questions. We teach you this. You do not need to know it on day one.

WHAT THIS JOB IS NOT

It is not a warehouse role. You are at a desk, on a phone and a computer.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Genuinely comfortable on the phone. Not "willing to answer phones" - comfortable. This is most of the job.

- Strong written communication. You can send a clear email without three rounds of edits.

- Organized enough to hold ten open threads and drop none of them.

- Solid computer skills. Email, spreadsheets, web-based systems. You can learn new software without being walked through it twice.

- You follow up without being asked. This is the trait that matters most to us.

- Reliable and in the office, in Sarasota, Monday through Friday.

NO EXPERIENCE WITH LED LIGHTING REQUIRED. We train.

WHAT YOU GET

- $20-23/hour depending on what you bring
