Armor All, Barbasol, Black + Decker, Cosmopolitan, Energizer, Monster, Pure Silk and STP. Jem Global is headquartered in Woodbridge, New Jersey, with additional offices in New York City, Arkansas, and China.

Senior Package Designer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and updating compelling packaging for our brands and private labels. They are required to have a graphic design background to complete all marketing assets and components for packaging mass production. This role will require a fast-paced and accurate worker in order to meet urgent deadlines.

Job Description:

Exceptional level and understanding of layout and design.
Ability to create package dielines/art, digital and print mockups, 3D renderings, presentations, sell sheets, planograms, displays, tradeshow materials and more.
Ensure continued innovation, while in adherence to brand guidelines. As well as experience working with Private Labels and Licensed Brands- including approvals, portals and submissions to licensors.
Effectively communicate product statements and features through package design and copy to develop elements of packaging.
Develop and maintain packaging technical specifications to ensure their compliance with changes. While producing factory ready, final print files for production.
Collaborate with outside factories, vendors and agencies.
Ability to work in short-timelines and meet deadlines efficiently.
Serve as technical expert for all aspects of packaging design development and production.

Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience with a background in packaging design with a strong understanding of brand/graphic design.
Expert understanding of all aspects of packaging components, including packaging structure, dieline creation, preparing files for printer/vendor.
Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suites including PowerPoint.
Strong portfolio of design work showcasing ability to conceptualize, design and execute current packaging.
Flexibility to shift priorities in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment.
Familiarity with licensing brands and following brand guidelines.
Strong design, verbal, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Embraces change, challenges and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
