We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling components and products in a fast-paced assembly line environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.
Duties
- Performs a variety of hand assembly, machine tending, inspection, test or boxing operations leading to the completion of the finished product ready for shipment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inserts components into specific locations following printed instructions or by referencing sample assemblies.
2. Visually checks assemblies for assembly errors following posted instructions.
3. Corrects defects using assigned tools and by following generally accepted and approved methods.
4. Records and routes production reports as required.
5. Keeps work station clean and orderly daily.
6. Assembles and fabricates subassemblies using fixtures, hand tools, or soldering tools.
7. Routes and solders wiring to circuit boards and individual terminations using soldering tools.
8. Attaches functional and cosmetic hardware such as plugs, buttons, labels and screws.
9. Boxes final product and palletizes when assigned.
10. Tests assemblies or finished units when assigned.
11. Sets up and adjusts automated production equipment following posted instructions when assigned.
12. Loads and unloads sub-assemblies to and from production equipment.
13. Cleans assigned machines and performs daily and weekly maintenance following posted instructions.
14. Must work overtime as required.
15. Accepts any other duties, either permanent or temporary, as directed by the Production Supervisor, as long as these duties are reasonably within his or her abilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to read and comprehend detailed visual work instructions.
2. Must be able to work systematically in a fast paced, repetitive production environment.
3. Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time.
4. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
5. Must posses a high degree of manual dexterity and have average eye/hand coordination.
6. Must be able to work with air tools and small hand tools proficiently.
7. Must be certified or be able to demonstrate proficiency in hand soldering
