Job Description
GPSN is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Senior Manager, Arts Education Partnerships to lead strategic planning, stakeholder needs assessments, and implementation of a strategic arts expansion plan for an LAUSD high school. The Senior Manager will serve as GPSN's on-site lead, working to expand high-quality arts programming, strengthen community partnerships, and develop a long-term strategy to fully integrate the arts into the school's instructional program and daily student experience.

The ideal candidate will also possess a professional knowledge of Los Angeles public schools as well as the operations of schools, nonprofits, and philanthropic organizations.
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Arts Education Partnerships is expected to lead:
Relationship Management and Needs Assessment
- Serve as GPSN's primary on-site representative, building strong relationships with school leadership, educators, students, and community partners.
- Develop a deep understanding of the school's instructional model, arts programming, student needs, and operational priorities to identify opportunities for strategic investment, partnership, and programmatic support.
- Lead efforts to strengthen and expand arts education by cultivating community partnerships, supporting arts integration throughout the school day, and advancing initiatives that enhance student access to high-quality arts experiences.
- Support outreach and recruitment efforts that position the school as a premier destination for students interested in visual and performing arts.
Strategic Planning and Internal Communication
- Facilitate strategic planning and long-term visioning to strengthen and expand arts education.
- Provide GPSN leadership with clear updates, recommendations, and briefings that inform decision-making and investment priorities.
- Identify emerging opportunities, prioritize short- and long-term needs, and assess sustainability and equity considerations to guide strategy.
Program Implementation and Partnership Growth
- Lead the coordination and implementation of GPSN-supported initiatives, ensuring alignment with school priorities, district policies, and existing programs.
- Cultivate partnerships with arts organizations, industry leaders, and community partners to expand opportunities and resources for students and educators.
- Monitor program implementation, identify challenges and opportunities, and recommend solutions to support continuous improvement and long-term sustainability, including future fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience in public education, arts education, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, or a related field. They will possess exceptional project management, strategic planning, and partnership development skills, as well as the ability to build trusted relationships with educators, administrators, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advance high-impact initiatives. Additional qualifications include:
Professional skills required:
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
- Strong data collection and analysis skills; experience designing and conducting stakeholder needs assessments, surveys, or focus groups
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Experience developing and managing budgets, including financial forecasting and planning to support resourcing diverse programming and activities
- Experience in arts education and/or creative career technical education
- Experience leading and coordinating school partnerships
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
