Job Summary

Under the direction of the Principal, performs a variety of bilingual community assistant activities at an assigned school site; serves as an interpreter between students, parents, families, administrators and staff; performs a variety of clerical duties; assists with parent meetings and advisory councils; prepares and maintain related records and reports related to assigned duties. About the vacancy Hours/Day: 8 hours/day Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 9 months/year Location: Multiple Sites Tentative Interview Date: Monday, September 21, 2026 This position is funded through a grant and is subject to the availability and continuation of funding. Accordingly, the continuation of the position beyond the current school year will depend on future funding availability. *** ***

Requirements / QualificationsEDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalent GED. Associate (AA) degree, or education beyond an AA degree is highly desirable. EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of related experience involving frequent public contact and working with school age children. SPECIAL LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Incumbents in this classification are required to speak, read and write in English and a designated second language. Passing scores on District's Bilingual Exam required
