Full Job Description

OVERVIEW OF POSITION: This full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours/week) reports to the Project Director. This individual facilitates Reentry Parenting and Healthy Relationship Workshops, and plans and facilitates family engagement activities such as supportive (monitored) visits for fathers enrolled in the Dads Back! Academy and their children. The successful candidate is passionate and experienced working with fathers, families and children, knowledgeable about child development principles and practices, has experience as a workshop or group facilitator, and is passionate about serving children and families, including justice-involved individuals. Hybrid services are conducted in person at the FOLA program office in Inglewood and virtually.

Pay Rate: $27.64/hr. - $28.85, based on background, education, and experience. Employee benefits package will include paid time off (PTO) and a partly subsidized healthcare plan of the staff’s choice.

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

Prepare for and conduct workshops (e.g., Reentry Parenting, Healthy Relationships), for fathers using evidence-informed/evidence-based curricula.

Assist fathers to complete make-up sessions and understand workshop materials.

Facilitate supportive (monitored) visits for parents and their children.

Work closely with case managers and participants on the development of the fathers’ Family-Focused Plans.

Serve as lead on family engagement activities.

Data Collection, Data Reporting, and Contract Compliance

Maintain accurate records of observations, assessments, and progress.

Maintain program files (electronically and hard copy).

Provide information as requested for reports to the funder and local evaluation.

Maintain a schedule for supportive visits.

Other Duties

Participate in case conferences, supervision and trainings as required by supervisor.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must meet all required qualifications in order to be considered for the position

Bachelor’s degree in childhood education or a related field.

Certification in evidence-based/evidence-informed parenting.

2 years’ experience conducting key duties.

2 years’ experience facilitating workshops or groups.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

1 year data-entry experience.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office, email, and internet

Pay: $27.64 - $28.85 per hour

Expected hours: 80.0 per week
