Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paralegal with 1-5 years experience working as paralegal for a firm or individual attorney. As a vital point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong computer literacy, and the ability to multitask effectively, the ability to draft legal documents and familiarity with DropBox, Microsoft Word and Excel and ProDoc. Applicant must be familiar with drafting discovery requests, responses, pleadings and court orders. Applicant should be prepared to support the senior paralegal and should also be pen to learning skills to elevate their knowledge of a full service family law practice. Benefits offered and pay commisurate with work experience. Punctuality is a must. Our hours of business are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Duties:

- Interact with clients, court staff and opposing attorneys in a professional and friendly manner

- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person

- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys and the senior paralegal

- Assist with document preparation, including typing and formatting legal documents

-Drafting Legal documents, electronically filing legal documents, drafting spreadsheets in Excel

- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and filing

- Maintain client files and ensure accurate record-keeping

- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and photocopying

- Provide administrative support to attorneys and senior paralegal as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a law office or paralegal certification required - we are looking for someone with 1-5 years of work experience asa paralegal in a firm or working for an individual attorney

- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy

- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

-Ability to draft legal documents
