About the Role:

The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of clinical research activities within the healthcare services sector. This position is responsible for ensuring that all clinical trials are conducted in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, ultimately contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care. The CRU Director will lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovation to enhance research outcomes and improve patient safety. Additionally, the role involves liaising with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and funding agencies, to secure necessary approvals and resources for research initiatives. By driving the unit's research agenda, the CRU Director will significantly impact the development of new therapies and treatment protocols that benefit patients and the broader healthcare community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with grant writing and securing funding for clinical research projects.
Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of clinical research studies within the unit.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.
Lead and mentor a team of researchers, clinicians, and support staff to achieve research objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and industry sponsors.
Monitor and evaluate research performance, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
