Who We Are
Houston Rolling Restrooms is a premium portable sanitation and jobsite support company based in Pasadena, TX, serving the Houston metro and Gulf Coast. We rent restroom trailers, shower trailers, cooldown and lunchroom trailers, and mobile office trailers, and provide water delivery, waste pumping, and janitorial services. Our clients include construction firms, industrial companies, refineries, weddings, venues, and events. We have grown consistently for 18 months and plan to double revenue in each of the next two years by opening new yards across Texas.
The Opportunity
This is a customer-facing leadership role: the owner's right hand for winning and keeping customers and running the operation behind them. You will be the voice customers hear when they call, the person who quotes and closes the work, and the one who makes sure it gets delivered clean, on time, and hassle-free. The first four months focus on systematizing Yard 1. As we add units and locations, your role, responsibilities, and pay grow with the company, and this position is built to grow into regional, multi-yard leadership as we expand across Texas.
The Role
This is a split role: phone-and-desk work plus hands-on field operations. On the desk side you are talking to customers, quoting and pricing jobs, closing rentals, and following up so nothing slips. On the operations side you are routing drivers, coordinating deliveries and pickups, and keeping the trailer fleet clean, maintained, and ready. You will be in the office, in the yard, and out on jobs, not just behind a desk. It is a management role, though, not a pure driving or warehouse job.
Expect a roughly even split of phone/desk and field/operations work at the start. As the company grows and the team builds out around you, the role steadily becomes more desk-heavy: managing people, owning customer relationships and pricing, and leading the expansion to new yards.
Comfort and polish on the phone are non-negotiable. You will talk to customers, prospects, and partners every day. Our customers often need us outside standard business hours; you will not work every weekend, but occasional after-hours and weekend availability is required in busy season.
What You Will Own
- Inbound customer inquiries and phone coverage: answer fast, sound professional, and make customers glad they called.
- Quoting and pricing jobs and contracts: build quotes, price them right, and follow up until the work is won.
- Closing inbound rentals and service requests end to end; growing relationships with construction, industrial, and event accounts.
- Daily driver routing, scheduling, and short-term rental coordination, so the day runs without the owner as the bottleneck.
- The yard and the fleet: overseeing and coordinating trailer maintenance and repair (with a maintenance tech and drivers), keeping everything clean, safe, and ready, and rolling up your sleeves when it counts.
- Building the operating systems (routing, scheduling, customer follow-up) that let the business scale.
- Leading and growing the team: as we expand, hiring, training, and managing drivers, yard staff, and techs.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
Customer calls and quotes are answered fast and professionally, and rentals are closed and coordinated without the owner in the middle of every deal. Pricing is consistent and profitable. Drivers are routed clearly and daily work is tracked. You know the fleet, the yard, and the customer base, and trailer issues are identified, delegated, or handled so nothing goes out dirty or late.
Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years in the portable restroom / sanitation, event rental, site services, or RV repair / dealership industry, with at least 1 of those years in a management or supervisory role. This is the core requirement, and it is what tells us you already understand this kind of equipment, these customers, and this pace of work. Strong military logistics, operations, maintenance, or leadership experience is also welcome and can count in place of the industry background.
- Polished and confident on the phone. You represent the company well and customers trust you quickly.
- A leader. You can help run and grow a team, and you take ownership without being told what to do.
- An organized operator. You can own driver routing and scheduling and keep a fleet maintained and ready.
- Comfortable around equipment and the yard. You do not have to be a mechanic, but you are willing to get hands-on when needed and can make sure maintenance gets done right.
- Sales experience is a plus: quoting, pricing, or closing customer business helps, but it is not required.
- Self-directed and ambitious, with high standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation, and a real desire to help grow a company from the ground up.
- Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, and able to pass a drug test.
This Is Not the Right Fit If
- You do not have at least 3 years in portable sanitation, event rental, site services, or RV repair/dealership (or equivalent military experience), including at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
- You are happiest behind the wheel or in a warehouse and do not want to spend your day on the phone.
- You want a purely desk-based management role with no field or yard involvement at all.
- You need a fixed 9-to-5 with no occasional after-hours or weekend availability.
- You would rather maintain someone else's system than build your own.
- You do not have a clean driving record or cannot pass a drug test.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
- Discretionary annual performance bonus targeting 10% to 25% of base, based on revenue, EBITDA, yard-launch success, and operational targets.
- Inbound sales commission: 1.5% of rental revenue and 1.5% of services.
- Outbound sales commission: 3.5% of rental revenue and 3.5% of services.
- Target earnings: $95,000 to $110,000 (base + performance bonus + sales commission), with significant upside as the company grows.
- Two weeks paid time off. Health insurance and retirement benefits added as the company grows.
