Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. This role assists in overseeing room cleanliness, public area presentation, team productivity, and service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, professional, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Duties

Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily operations
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, hallways, and common spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assist with daily room assignments and housekeeping boards
Ensure rooms are cleaned and released in a timely manner for guest check-ins
Train and coach team members on hotel standards, procedures, and safety practices
Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and inventory levels
Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and safety concerns promptly
Respond to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally
Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and shift coverage when needed
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, cleanliness standards, and brand requirements
Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance departments to support hotel operations
Conduct routine inspections and follow up on corrective actions when necessary
Support deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments
Maintain a professional, organized, and team-oriented work environment
Perform other duties assigned by Housekeeping Management or Hotel Leadership

Experience & Qualifications

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment required
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and safety practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations professionally
Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems preferred
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
