Full Job Description

Certified Dietary Manager / Regional Dietary Services Supervisor

We are hiring a qualified Certified Dietary Manager to oversee Dietary Services operations while providing regional support across facilities within our network.

This is a roving position and is not limited to a single facility. The successful candidate must be able to accept assignments throughout the designated region based on operational needs, including travel of 20 miles or more from the employee's primary or home facility. Assignments may vary in frequency, duration, and location.

Regional support may include staffing or leadership coverage, survey preparation, regulatory compliance, operational improvement, special projects, and new program implementation.

The Dietary Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring residents receive safe, appetizing meals that meet their nutritional needs while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company standards.

Requirements

· Certification as a Dietary Manager and/or Dietary Services Supervisor

· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region, including distances of 20 miles or more

· Reliable transportation and ability to travel independently between facilities

· Flexibility to accept temporary, short-term, or recurring assignments at other facilities

· Ability to adapt to changing assignments, schedules, and operational priorities

· Vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shots, as required by applicable facility policy

Primary Responsibilities

· Supervise and manage daily Dietary Department operations in accordance with federal, state, local, and company requirements

· Provide operational and leadership support to facilities throughout the assigned region

· Provide temporary departmental coverage during leadership vacancies, absences, staffing shortages, or other operational needs

· Assist with regulatory compliance, survey readiness, corrective action plans, and implementation of company dietary standards

· Assess dietary operations and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, compliance, and resident satisfaction

· Train, coach, and support Dietary Department employees and supervisors

· Promote consistent policies, procedures, and best practices across assigned facilities

· Manage food and labor budgets, expenses, purchasing, and menu planning

· Attend IDT meetings and patient care conferences and complete applicable MDS documentation

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide appropriate nutritional care to residents

· Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct Dietary Department programs and activities

· Develop and maintain dietary policies, procedures, job descriptions, and required documentation

· Ensure food is palatable, attractive, served at appropriate temperatures, and modified as necessary to meet individual resident needs

· Ensure appropriate substitute foods of similar nutritive value are available when residents refuse scheduled menu items

· Maintain accurate dietary records, tray tickets, and posted menus

· Interview residents and/or family members as needed to obtain diet histories and evaluate meal quality and satisfaction

· Collaborate with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, regional leadership, and other facility leaders to address Dietary Department needs

· Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Regional Travel Expectations

Regional travel is an essential function of this position. Employees should expect to work at multiple facilities within the company's network, including assignments 20 miles or more from their primary facility, based on staffing, regulatory, operational, or organizational needs.

Pay Scale

$35-$45 per hour

Compensation depends on a number of factors, including location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
