Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic experienced Obstetric and Gynecology Ultrasonographer to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging techniques to perform prenatal, gynecological, transvaginal and obstetrical ultrasounds. Your expertise will help facilitate accurate diagnoses, guide treatment plans, and enhance patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical skills and compassionate patient care make a real difference. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound. The candidate will be passionate about women’s health, possess strong communication skills, and have a comprehensive understanding of medical imaging technology.

Duties

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in obstetrics and gynecology, following established protocols and safety standards
Assist physicians in interpreting imaging results by providing clear and detailed images for analysis
Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety throughout procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques
Document all procedures accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive diagnostic reports based on imaging findings
Maintain proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to women’s health diagnostics
Operate Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval
Support patient care by explaining procedures clearly and addressing patient concerns with professionalism

Qualifications

Proven experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound imaging with strong knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology diagnostics and women's health assessments
Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment including ultrasound machines used for pregnancy, prenatal and gynecological scans
Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles relevant to women’s health care
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and procedures
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for managing digital images efficiently
Ability to adhere strictly to aseptic techniques ensuring patient safety during all procedures
Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for sonographers or ultrasonographers in obstetrics/gynecology
