Position Summary
A.I.R. is seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven Plumbing Division Manager to lead and grow our expanding Plumbing Division.
This is not a traditional plumbing management role. We are looking for a leader who understands that modern commercial plumbing extends far beyond pipes and fixtures—it encompasses building health, preventative maintenance, technology integration, water resiliency, and long-term strategic partnerships.

This individual must be prepared to step in immediately, support technicians in solving complex building issues, represent A.I.R. professionally with facility directors and property managers, and actively build the division’s client base through sales and relationship development.

Key ResponsibilitiesDivision Leadership & Operations
- Lead all division operations, including service, maintenance, repairs, project work, and client relationships.
- Direct day-to-day field operations through the Service Coordinator, including scheduling, technician utilization, and coordination of emergency, maintenance, installation, and upgrade work.
- Drive technology adoption and operational proficiency throughout the team.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing plumbing team focused on accountability, technical excellence, and growth.
- Conduct weekly team meetings and annual performance reviews.
- Utilize A.I.R.’s training center to support in-house technician development.
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture across all work environments, including the shop, transit, and customer sites.

- Drive division growth through networking, strategic relationship building, and client development.

- Represent A.I.R. professionally at industry events and throughout the Baltimore market.

Experience & QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 10 years of commercial plumbing experience
- Prior plumbing division, department, or project management experience
- Proven business development and sales success
- Experience managing technicians, subcontractors, and office personnel
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems and facility management
- Experience working with:

Licenses & CertificationsRequired (One or Both)
- Maryland Master Plumber License (strongly preferred)
- Maryland Journeyman Plumber License with 5–10+ years of commercial management experience
Preferred
- Backflow Prevention Certification (ASSE 5110 or Maryland-recognized equivalent)
- Active PHCC membership or other trade association affiliation
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (Construction or General Industry)
