Location: On-site in Seattle, Columbus or Houston
Employment Type: Contract (1+ year, extensions likely as this is a resident engineer position)
Travel: Occasional travel based on client engagements (typically less than 20%)

About the Opportunity

Epic Placements is partnering with an industry-leading cybersecurity consulting organization that is experiencing tremendous growth following its acquisition by a global cybersecurity leader. As their professional services practice continues to expand, they are adding experienced Fortinet engineers to help deliver enterprise security solutions for customers across North America.

This is an opportunity to work on complex enterprise environments, lead high-impact security implementations, and serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle. If you enjoy solving challenging security problems, working directly with customers, and delivering modern network security solutions, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do

Design, implement, and optimize enterprise Fortinet security solutions for a diverse client base.
Lead customer implementations from discovery and architecture through deployment and production support.
Configure and support FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, high availability, and advanced security services.
Partner with customers to evaluate security requirements and recommend scalable, best-practice solutions.
Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across enterprise environments.
Produce technical documentation, implementation plans, and solution designs.
Serve as the primary technical resource during professional services engagements.
Collaborate with project managers, customer stakeholders, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay current on Fortinet technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise network security solutions.
Hands-on experience implementing Fortinet technologies in production environments.
Strong experience with:
- FortiGate
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- SD-WAN
- IPsec VPN
- SSL VPN
- High Availability (HA)
- Routing & Switching
- Enterprise Firewall Migrations
Strong understanding of network security architecture and security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable leading customer-facing technical discussions and implementation workshops.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional services or cybersecurity consulting experience.
Experience working with enterprise customers in regulated environments.
Background with organizations such as Optiv, Trace3, GuidePoint Security, WWT, Presidio, CDW, SHI, ePlus, or similar consulting organizations.
Experience with cloud security technologies and hybrid enterprise environments.
Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, or equivalent.
Fortinet certifications (preferred). Specific certification requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
