Project Coordinator — Marine / Ship Repair

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi
Employment Type: Full-time, on-site
Industry: Shipbuilding / Ship Repair

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support marine repair and shipbuilding projects in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This position coordinates project activities across production crafts, maintenance teams, subcontractors, management, and customers to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and within established project requirements.

The ideal candidate is an organized and effective communicator with experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine fabrication, or a closely related construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily project activities among production crafts, maintenance, subcontractors, management, and customers.
Follow project schedules and help prioritize work activities.
Coordinate with management to identify and maintain craft and subcontractor manpower requirements.
Prepare accurate daily written turnover and project-status reports.
Maintain complete and organized project records and documentation.
Monitor project objectives, priorities, deadlines, and budget requirements.
Ensure team members understand the project scope and their individual responsibilities.
Communicate responsibilities and project expectations throughout each phase of the project.
Track project progress and promptly communicate schedule concerns, manpower needs, and other potential issues.
Support compliance with company safety, environmental, ethics, and quality policies.
Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.
Report to work consistently and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

Two to five years of management or team-leadership experience preferred.
Two to three years of project coordination or similar experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine construction, or a related industry preferred.
Working knowledge of marine fabrication and construction processes.
Experience coordinating multiple departments, production teams, or subcontractors.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven production environment.
Strong recordkeeping and written-reporting abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project-related computer software.
Ability to work effectively with craft employees, supervisors, subcontractors, customers, and senior management.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

Ability to work in an active shipyard or marine production environment.
Regular standing and walking, with occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and material handling.
Ability to work overtime based on project and production requirements.
