Full Job Description

Sweat Therapy is a private personal training and recovery studio located in Los Osos, California. We specialize in personalized coaching, movement assessment, strength training, corrective exercise, body composition improvement, and recovery services including cold plunge and sauna therapy.

Our mission is to help clients move better, feel better, and perform at their highest level through evidence-based coaching and exceptional client care. We are seeking a motivated, professional trainer who is passionate about helping clients achieve lasting results and who wants to grow within a supportive, education-focused environment.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Certified Personal Trainer who is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience and possesses skills beyond basic exercise programming. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of biomechanics, movement quality, strength training principles, and client communication.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele ranging from beginners and active aging adults to individuals seeking performance enhancement, weight loss, injury prevention, and long-term health improvements.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive fitness and movement assessments
Design individualized training programs based on client goals, movement patterns, and fitness level
Deliver high-quality one-on-one, partner, and small group training sessions
Educate clients on exercise technique, recovery, lifestyle habits, and nutrition principles
Monitor client progress and make program adjustments as needed
Build strong relationships that foster accountability, consistency, and long-term success
Maintain accurate session notes and client records
Assist with client retention and growth of training services through exceptional coaching

Qualifications

Required

Current nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent)
Current CPR/AED Certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and conduct
Ability to coach a wide range of clients safely and effectively

Preferred

Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES)
Strength and Conditioning Certification (CSCS)
CHEK Institute education
Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related degree
Experience working with active aging populations
Experience with movement assessments and corrective exercise
Group fitness coaching experience
