Overview
Registered Nurse - PACU (Operating Room/PACU focus) is available as a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date is 09/07/2026 for a 13-week engagement. Weekly pay ranges from $2,122 to $2,194, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts. This is a hospital-based perioperative care role where nursing care is provided in the immediate preoperative and postoperative periods.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to surgical patients in the immediate preoperative and postoperative period.
Receive handoff information from the anesthesiologist, surgeon, and/or circulating RN and incorporate it into the plan of care.
Ensure control of pain, bleeding, and nausea; manage patient positioning, airway, and stabilization of vital signs.
Respond immediately to emergency situations; continuously monitor patient status and adjust care as needed.
Collaborate with the CNA and perioperative team to maintain patient safety and comfort; document care accurately.
This position is represented by CNA.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in California.
Experience in PACU or perioperative nursing preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital perioperative setting.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet applicable credentialing requirements.
