Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including slicing, dicing, and portioning fresh produce and meats
- Assemble sandwiches and other menu items efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, grills, and refrigeration units safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and appliances by adhering to cleaning schedules and safety standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Assist in menu planning by providing feedback on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Skilled in knife techniques, slicing methods, and general food preparation tasks
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment
