Full Job Description

Clinic Manager

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Westminster Eyecare Associates is seeking an experienced ophthalmic or optometric technician to join our team as Clinic Supervisor.

This is a hands-on supervisory role for an experienced technician who can both work alongside the clinical team and provide the leadership, direction, and accountability needed to keep a busy clinic running efficiently.

The Clinic Supervisor will directly supervise our technician team and oversee the day-to-day clinical floor, including patient flow, staff assignments, training, performance, and provider support.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise and provide daily direction to the ophthalmic technician team
Coordinate patient flow and clinical staff assignments throughout the day
Perform technician duties and assist with patient care as needed
Ensure providers have the clinical support needed to maintain an efficient schedule
Monitor staff performance, attendance, productivity, and professionalism
Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing performance management
Assist with employee evaluations and corrective action
Train and onboard new technicians
Ensure consistency in patient workups, pretesting, diagnostic testing, documentation, and established clinical protocols
Coordinate breaks, call-out coverage, and other daily staffing needs
Identify and address workflow issues in real time
Communicate clinical needs and concerns to operations leadership
Help maintain an organized, efficient, and patient-focused clinical environment

Qualifications

Ophthalmic or optometric technician experience required
Strong knowledge of patient workups, pretesting, and ophthalmic diagnostic testing
Previous supervisory or team management experience preferred
Ability to confidently direct staff and address performance concerns
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of the clinical floor
Experience training or developing clinical staff is a plus

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who knows the clinical side of eye care and is ready to take ownership of the team behind it. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician who can recognize when the clinic is falling behind, redirect staff, solve problems, support providers, coach employees, and maintain clear expectations for the team.

This is a working supervisor position. You will remain actively involved in patient care while having direct supervisory responsibility for the clinical technician team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Experience:

Ophthalmic or optometric technician: 2 years (Required)
Supervisory experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
