Full-Time Clerical Assistant

The Role
Our Clerical Assistants play an essential role in supporting Radiation Therapists and our practice partners by ensuring efficient clinical and administrative operations. This position is responsible for coordinating patient documentation, scheduling, supply management, and other administrative functions that contribute to exceptional patient care and an outstanding patient experience.
What You Will Do
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient therapy.
- Clean treatment rooms following patient therapy.
- Record patient visit notes and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Prepare and organize patient charts.
- Scan, file, and maintain patient documentation.
- Assist with verification of benefits (VOBs) in coordination with the SkinCure Oncology Support Team and practice partners.
- Maintain pending and ongoing patient leads.
- Order, stock, and maintain office and medical supplies.
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment according to established procedures.
- Properly dispose of contaminated supplies following safety protocols.
- Monitor office scheduling to verify physician supervision coverage.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the clinical calendar.
- Collaborate with the Claims Integrity Department to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding pathology results.
- Assist patients by communicating available financial payment options.
- Prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining an organized workflow.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams to support efficient department operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- Associate degree or certificate preferred, but not required.
- One year of related administrative or healthcare experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer applications and software systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Familiarity with medical devices and clinical office procedures.
