We are seeking an energetic and reliable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team! Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate janitorial techniques and equipment
- Conduct routine floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and troubleshooting facility issues
- Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized cleaning equipment and procedures as needed
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and maintenance tools are well-stocked, organized, and properly maintained
- Monitor facility safety by inspecting for hazards, reporting issues promptly, and supporting emergency response efforts when necessary
- Support overall custodial operations by performing trash removal, restroom sanitation, and general upkeep
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or residential environments
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively; familiarity with commercial cleaning tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods and climbing ladders if needed
