Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and comfort. In this vital role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to diverse patient populations across various clinical settings, including critical care units, emergency departments, neonatal and pediatric units, and outpatient clinics. Your skills will support life-saving procedures, manage complex ventilator systems, and ensure optimal respiratory health for patients of all ages. We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment that values your technical proficiency, compassionate patient care, and dedication to excellence.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, lung sounds, and physiology knowledge to develop individualized care plans.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques with precision and safety.
Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory devices in compliance with hospital protocols.
Manage airway procedures including intubation, extubation, and airway management during emergencies like cardiac arrest or trauma situations.
Monitor and adjust ventilator settings based on patient response while ensuring optimal ventilation and oxygenation in critical & intensive care environments.
Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as cardiac arrests or respiratory distress by providing effective emergency response procedures aligned with hospital standards.

Skills

Extensive hospital medicine experience with a focus on critical care, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), neonatal resuscitation procedures, and Level I & II trauma centers.
Proficiency in airway management techniques including intubation and ventilator management for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology principles, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
Skilled in the operation of medical equipment such as ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, and other respiratory devices.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatment plans.
Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs monitoring and medication administration within inpatient or outpatient settings.
Critical & intensive care experience with acute care proficiency in managing complex cases involving respiratory failure or trauma.
Demonstrated capability in medication administration related to respiratory treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
Geriatrics and pediatrics experience preferred to provide specialized care across age groups in diverse clinical environments.

Required Certifications
ACLS (AHA or ARC), BLS (AHA or ARC),
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
